System Requirements
The IMG system should work on almost any modern browser with Javascript and cookies enabled. Popup windows do not appear in gene neighborhoods and text cannot be copied to the clipboard in Internet Explorer for the Macintosh. Some pages contain a lot of data; a fast network connection helps with fast and responsive loading. Mozilla Firefox (1.5 or later) seems to provide the best responsiveness in that it progressively displays results as soon as it is loaded whereas Safari on the Mac the least. Internet Explorer 7 is also not as responsive.
The Java 2, version 1.4 or later and Javascript should be enabled on your web browser to run VISTA. If Java 2 is not already installed, consult with VISTA Java installation instructions in Using VISTA Browser.
